Default Was like the Apocalypce in Yellowknife today

As some of you may know, we are in the midst of the worst forest fire season in at least 30 years. At present there are approximately 217 fires presently burning North of sixty. We have had 1.2 inches of rain since May. The smoke has been noticeable for a month or more and has been severe of late. We are far from the most affected community in the north either. There are some incredible pictures and videos posted on facebook and twitter. #nwtfire on both media sources shows both.
Today was not to bad , a little haze and a strong smell of smoke. At about 5:00 things started to get weird. And don't forget that usually at this time of year we have about 20 hours of daylight.
