I'm pretty sure salt water is a minimum requirement. I could be wrong though, maybe.

Maybe show him a frying pan a little piece of butter and he's smarten up? ... I dunno.

They apparently ARE pretty hardy...but perhaps that's pushing it.

I think you were pushing it tho lol. You had a good run but that's a lot of mean for a tank that size man.

Agreed. I think I pushed the bounds of what that tank was capable of for sure.. so the writing is on the wall I guess.

He's actually not that big and he doesn't have that many tank mates in there. Still, I do recognize that he probably considers that entire tank his territory and will murder anyone that he is threatened by. He is quite intelligent too actually. Every other tang I have goes crazy over their reflection so the mirror trick always works on them. The Clown on the other hand is not fooled at all. So he will murder a parrot fish but is perfectly fine with his own reflection. Go figure.
