So I have added a few things to the tank this weekend home. Picked up a couple turbo snails, five red tip hermits plus one other hermit I'm not sure of (we call him muttly), and finally a fire shrimp that my girlfriend has named rock lobster... Don't get me started on that.

Critters were picked up Friday and grabbed a few coral frags from a friend today. Some mushrooms and a good chunk of green star pollop.

I've noticed that one of the snails has attached itself to the back of muttly. Has been there for roughly 24 hours now. Is that something I should be concerned about?

Nah it's nothing to worry about snails often hitch hike on other inverts shells and can stay there for an indeterminate time

Hoping the pollops (?) open up a bit before I leave tomorrow. Have to get some pics of everything.

Well my gsp is finally starting to come out.

Girlfriend pointed out that there is something else that appears to be growing on a couple of the rocks and a couple spots on the glass. Anyone know what they could be?

Looks like aptaisia anemone
Very bad! Use a razor blade to remove the one on the glass and get a peppermint shrimp for the one on the rock.
Do not feed the shrimp anything until that aptaisia is gone!

+1 looks like aiptasia.

I had a bad outbreak in my 75g a few months ago. I used grocery shop lemon juice in an insulin needle for the big ones (took a few tries because these buggers are fast), and bought 3 peppermint shrimps that took care of the smaller ones in the rockwork.

Peppermint shrimps have been added. This video was taken within a minute of being introduced to the tank. Girlfriend said they are going crazy over the aiptasia. Thanks for the advice everyone!

Three nice pictures I took this morning after coming home, and a short (0:45) time lapse video.
