I have no idea yet myself, just got it tonight & have to order a PAB cable to hook it up. I glad they changed to the PAB vursus the L ports, frees them up for other things.

Ya, considering their size now,and what they'll end up, they have to be the most timid tangs Ive seen. This may be a good thing as Id hate to have them fighting already.

Just so you know they did release the android app for profilux today. Don't know if that helps you or not, but if you have an android based phone, it looks good.
Good to know about the app, I didn't realize one existed.

Beautiful tangs, they make a lovely addition

Now I don't know about other controllers, but the profilux was actually easy to set up(With a little help of course from a few people). Not only is it low wattage, but fully controllable, I don't think there is anything out there right now that can touch it. Although the new vertex stratus looks strikingly similar.......

Its actually quite funny as even the literature looks to be the same.
They look to be very nice pumps but I think the price point is maybe a tad high for the average hobbyist. With Vertex jumping into the fray with more vendors to follow I'm sure the pricing will improve with time.

Im sure the vertex will be top notch, most of there product is. The problem is, I was waiting for the cerebra to come out before I bought a controller. After a year of nothing, I got myself a profilux because I was tired of waiting. Heres hoping that this isnt the same type of problem.
I think we can see the benefit of a DC line of pumps, waveline has taken off, the benefit of these pumps are they are quite small, a lot of people do not have a larger tank so these are a good fit.
The benefit that I wanted was no powerheads in the tank with a wave motion. I needed a fully controllable pump to achieve this, yes there were problems at first, but I think I have it all ironed out now.

That would be a nice option, I love the action of my wave box but hate the noise of it. I can hear the damn thing upstairs.

An insulated canopy on your tank should help. I briefly had 2 boxes running on my 400 and could barely hear them standing in front of the tank.

I'm not sure running a insulated canopy with 3ea 400w HQI's in it would be a great idea.
