Thanks for the replies. As said, noise is something I'd like to keep to a minimum. I want mp40s for the sake that there is 0 equipment (more or less) in the tank, but am looking at tunze for the sake of quietness.. man.. tough decision lol

Maybe I need to do like kien suggested and have a tour of people set ups. I love the look but have minimal recollection of seeing them in person

If there's anyone in the Edmonton area willing to let me stop by and have a 'listen' let me know I'd love to shed some light on the noise claims. I've heard about it before, but as said have never had the privilege :P

Well with MP40s you will still have equipment in the tank :-). A bit less than other power heads tho. You should check out an MP40 at a local fish store or reefers house. That should help you decide. If the noise doesn't bother you then get MP40s :-)

When I get the setup we where talking about Ken we can check out the MP's in my 8'er.
