DCDN the corals are reacting much better than they did under my MHs imo, i just have to fix the alk/ca swings before they'll color back up again but thats only a matter of time

Lee im not sure whats going on with my pH, ive tried about everything and the result is the same. Though just like yours my pH probe is 2 yrs old and would probably benefit from the change. Its just a little crazy that i am getting a swing from 8.2 during the day to 7.5 at night...too much corals not enough O2

a fun little update for everyone here. Ive been playing with the idea of adding a sump to my system for a while now and i think now might be a good time to do it as i have time to kill before school starts up again.... So im sure majority of you know about the mame glass overflows, welllllll to cut to the chase i'll be making one out of acrylic tubing. Ive got majority of it made already and i think it'll turn out great, all thats left now is to add the auto priming venturi on the overflow and im good to go for testing. meanwhile im a little lazy right now to post everything but ill do one picture and everything else will be in my blog below take a look, if you like it feel free to follow.

Cheers

heatgun
saw
methyln chloride
dremel

the result:

now i just need to find out how to cut these damn vinyl tubing straight so it doesnt look so messed up...funny that out of everything i did i cant do one of the simpliest

Nice work. I think it is humanly impossible to cut vinyl tubing square because it compresses as you cut it as well as the difference between inside and outside circumference of the coil. Maybe put a dowel in it to straighten it out to cut it.

try some pvc cutters (used to cut flex pvc/spa flex) or a band saw.

I just noticed that I've updated my thread on every other site but canreef and this is my local forum too...wow. alright to bring everyone up to speed. I have a new system lol....for those who have followed the nano-reef or reefcentral forums you guys know the update. I'll take a few more FTS in the near future and post it. Meanwhile I was working on a little project over the weekend, and hope you guys will enjoy it.

heres a FTS for those that are wondering what in the world happened to the tank I've been busy with a new business startup lately so there's just too many things to handle. Tank is still running though! and growing fast.

FTS: (nov.1)
