i see room for a few more tangs now dawg! wow you really thinned the herd out since i was over but it's nice to see all the open areas that scape allows for.

Ah ok, that rock in the sump should definitely help - you're braver than me. I'd do that with LPS, but SPS? Maybe you're just crazy.

I did mine with only a large aquaclear sponge block. Worked perfectly

Now that's ballsy lol. I do have a biopellet reactor so plenty of bacteria in there. I wasn't to concern with the transfer but it's taking forever to clear up the water. I should of rinsed the sand before throwing it in lol.

Nah, I prepped the sponge for 2 months beforehand, and knew it would be enough to filter things until the rock built bacteria. This is why I don't buy into the "wait for a year before SPS" line. I added 50 frags day one and all my fish into a system with a crappy skimmer, no reactor and dry rock/sand. Big water changes every two weeks, and everything stayed very healthy the whole process.

Wow dude, this tank looks beautiful. I showed my wife and she's being a little more receptive to "underwater gardening" as she calls it. Great job!

It's not so much the Initial move but the fact that the corals are going from an established tank with (assuming) stable parameters to a new tank where parameters have a tendency to fluctuate. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It really sucks when it doesn't.
