Torch Corals
Hi Guys,
Can different torch corals be put together or in close proximity or will they still sting each other? Thanks! |

Do it with caution but slowly move them closer together. In my experiences yes you can. I have had 3 different kinds of torches all touching with no problems. As of right now I have a massive frog spawn and a torch coral side by side and they are perfectly happy.

i got 4 different kinds , purple, green, gold and yellow and they all get along touching each other (sounds dirty), even my frogspawn get along with them. I never acclimated them closer and closer, i just clump them together for a torch garden.

My torch coral. Despite what it looks like the photo hasn't had much post-processing done. The Hippo always just looks like this when I take a picture of it:
One of these days I'm going to frag it, it's getting to be a lot for that side of the tank.

Do you think that rule holds true for frogspawns as well? I have a branching and a non-branching kind that are both getting gigantic, to the point where they're both stinging the heck out of neighbouring SPS. I'd like to move them together in a dedicated spot away from everyone else, but have been hesitant to put them too close together.

Ive had some euphyllia sting each other and others be fine. My green tip metallic green torch can touch just about anything and its all fine. My pink tip torch will sting anything it can get near. Mushrooms. Sps. Acans.... Its killed a lot of acans.... It killed a frogspawn. Its just evil....

I have 4 different colour torches together and all are doing well. My camera can not pick up the true colours but the left one is a gold bar torch, back is pink, middle is neon green and right is gold tip.
