Default Quiet return pump

Looking for a quiet return pump for a friend, i know the red dragons are quiet any thing in the same ballpark as that pump for noise. Where does a guy find a red dragon pump?

I've got a Dart Gold that is pretty quiet, the only thing i hear is the fan on the motor.

Just my experiance, as to where to find red dragon's... I'm not sure, they've always been pretty much a dream to me because of the price.

Typically the smaller you go the more quiet so if he can get away with a slower return rate then you can get a fairly quiet pump for cheap. I've found the smaller Sedra pumps are quiet in the range of 3500 to 5000. For a little more money the Eheims are high quality and very quiet but again nothing in a substantially high flow rate.

ATB Flowstars are good - mine (1500) is very quiet despite pushing 1500+ gph @ 0ft.
