nova extreme HO T5?
Just wondering if anyone have used or own this brand of light? Can you give me your opinions.
Im thinking of getting the 36" comes with 4x39w(2 actinic and 2 10k daylight) and 3 moonlights, seperate controls for the lights. Has a built in fan however from what I read it has a single reflector and not individual for only $233+tax. Considerebly cheaper than the TEK lights. BTW my tank is 18" high. |

From everything I've read and heard about T5's, individual reflectors is key key key. Otherwise you've just got a fixture that's comparable to a PC, ie., it's not bad, but not taking full advantage. If nothing else the T5 lamps have a lower replacement cost than PC's, but if you're going to go T5 why not go that extra step and get one with the reflectors.

Delphinus is right, it's the individual reflectors that are key. Proper reflectors should be M shaped.

I'm kind of curious about these as well. I thought I'd get a 24" for my nano instead of replacing the PC bulb next month.
