Default Favorite Build Threads

What are your favorite build threads that you have read through? Not just Canreef but anywhere! I love going through build threads and was hoping to get a few really good recommendations!

Untamed's 400 on Canreef

You've probably seen them all, but if not definitely check them out.
The first 2 are very extensive 2 part threads.
Untamed's is my favorite here and my dream tank.

Yes I would vote Untamed as well.
Peter's is nice but the money turns me off for some reason.(Specifically peters thread...if it is nineball were are talking about) Not to take away from its spectacular nature i prefer chings Ching's smaller tanks.
David Saxby and Steve Weast have/had? great tanks as well.

I do like Leonardo's various tanks on reef central. He strikes me as a marine artist.

The current Tank of the month on canreef is quite spectacular.

I like the Grizz's long tank as well. My dream dimensions
http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/sho...hlight=shallow

Whiston's tank on canreef - He nailed the rockwork I think...it is just so lovely in my opinion.

http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=93625

There are so many more....I just like a reef that works...many smaller tanks i think actually look better than the 800 gallon + monsters.

Anyone without reefing experience who starts a build saying his 1350g tank will be split into 4 sections and named after the reefing 'masters' is a little too full of himself if you ask me. for a guy who didn't want to touch on associated costs he sure posted enough pics of his lambourghinis and bentleys lol.

Don't even get me started on the fact that he built that massive tank only 3 feet wide lol.

Guys, I've seen this tank in person and I've spent time with Peter and Shawn at MACNA...he really does love the hobby. He has money, there is no doubt and he has hired help to work on the tank, but he tries to be as involved as he can in taking care of the tank as well.
If you look at it another way, I love the show Tanked just because it gets my family (who enjoy it too) to be more appreciative of my hobby. The sheer number of U-tube viewings on Peters tank have probably done a lot for getting people excited about the hobby we love so much.
Just my thoughts but seeing that tank makes you forget where you are for as long as you are in front of it.

I certainly don't question his involvement I just don't like the vibe of self-importance I get when I read his thread. Maybe it's my flawed perception but I enjoy Ching Chai's build much more. To me at least, his build completely lacks that feeling.

If you follow the thread you will know that peters sps tank has a flatworm infestation
Sucks, but he will show publicly how he over comes this. So this type of education is also good for the hobby.

I just didn't like the build thread. Lasltight nailed that vibe that the thread gives off....at least to some.

I've seen many big tank threads this is the only one I got that vibe from...I dunno. I've met Peter as well...he is sure nice, but that doesn't change the vibe some get from the thread
