Default Tonys 69 gallon first saltwater attempt.

Ok so as some of you may have seen i have had a lot of questions and finally figured out to upload photos so im going to start a journal. I got some photos on my phone that i will try to get up later as well.

Full tank shot. The 2 ghetto powerheads are just in there for a short time until i pick another hydor 4 up from oceanic.

Nemo and Merlin with their anemone in the back.

Some algae or something on one of my rocks.

I have a coral beauty that might have ich but heres a pic of her!

More photos to come, I have to get a bunch off my phone from when i was first setting it up.

Also the back has a blue backdrop but i took it off last night to see what i liked better, im going to put the blue back up cause i think it is nicer.

Thanks for looking, ill keep you posted!

I also have a hippo tang and a spotted wrasse on order from oceanic corals, huge thanks to all the guys there especially paul and eugene they have been a huge help in getting all this going.

Sump is on the way, just getting built then ill move the heater and such in there and get the skimmer going too. I should get that done this thursday or friday.

thanks guys! im contemplating re doing it into like a U shape kind of a cove or something, so the fish swim in the middle and they can swim in and out of the rocks, im just worried about how i will get flow to the back.

almost 2 months or so? I really wish i would of planned better, i have wasted a lot of money just doing it while im learning. ie. seaclone skimmer, buying to small of tank to start, buying a fluval osaka(that is my current tank) that the stand cannot have a sump under it.

I have made a lot of mistakes. But im enjoying it and learning while I go.

i hear ya, its all a learning curve, so many different people have different opinions and it can be rather confusing.

Either way its looking good, im still cycling... being i was a tard and purchase dry rock and mixed it was live rock. looks like im in for the long haul. Im in the middle of month two! ugh!

All the rock

During the build right after pulling all the old rock out.
