I read on a thread where someone had made little legs for their pump to sit on out of a material used in a squeege. Maybe look into silicone washers or matting that can be cut.

Well my return pump has legs with suction cups under it, so it doesn’t make any noise.

But the pump for my protein skimmer has a 1” harder sponge under it …works great for me, no noise at all

I do clean it every now and then since things do get caught in it.

You could always by filter media like that for aquaclear or something and cut it down. Or just get some of the blue or white filer floss matts (Cut much easier)....

I used some styrofoam under my skimmer pump to help control vibration.
