Default lighting help...

i currently have a hagen glo with a 10K bulb and their marine bulb, im just starting out rock, and a few mushrooms not fish yet,
if i ran this for 12 hours on/12 off is that to much light or would you recommend doing a dawn/dusk??

I started my 77 with a 36" Hagen Glo with same bulb configuration as you. No dawn dusk, but I don't recall how many hours I ran the light at the beginning. I had no coral at the time, however a small mushroom appeared on its own after a few months. Maybe start with 10 hour photo period and work your way up to 12 once you see how your mushrooms react. What size is your tank & the Hagen Glo?
