Default training my cuttlefish to eat frozen shrimp

My guys are still not yet full grown. I'd like to get them into their main tank before they are halfway through their lifespan, but also off live foods or at least off exclusively eating live foods.

Their main diet has been live ghost shrimp and even though gut loading these guys is cheaper then buying marine shrimp every week I'm still spending a ton on them.

I use a feeding stick and put pieces of uncooked grocery store shrimp on them. All of them were unresponsive at first. A few looked semi interested, finally after some persuading I have got most of them to at least try the shrimp.

They seem to know this piece of shrimp is not alive even if its moving around and will not strike but when it's right up against them they may just try it. Once they actually try it they pull like crazy to get the shrimp off the stick.

Here are a couple of macro shots I took with the camera in one hand and the feeding stick in the other.

If I can get them all eating frozen on a regular basis hopefully in 2-3 weeks time they will be moved to their own 90 gallon tank.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing! These guys are just my favorite cephalopods and it so neat to see people keeping them successfully. I can't wait to see pictures of them in the 90 gallon!
