Default Bangaii not eating

Have a pair of Bangaii's and the larger one, and the one with the longer second dorsal fin has stopped eating for the last few days.

Does not eating imply he is carrying eggs ?

That's a very good possibility Wendell. Watch (him?) over the next few days, if (he?) still isn't eating, has darkened in colour and has a large squared off jaw, he's likely carrying.

If you watch him long enough you may even get a visual of the reddish eggs as he shifts them in his mouth. As the eggs get closer to hatch time they turn tan in colour.

Typically the male does have a longer second dorsal, but with my adults the female is bigger. This is likely due to the fact that she eats all the time whereas several times a year the male goes three weeks without eating while carrying eggs, so this would certainly stunt his growth compared to the similarly aged female.

Best of luck, it will be nice to see some more tank raised fish available to local hobbiests.
