Default ID please??

Saw this bad boy today during my rock work survey. Not sure if pics shows well. It is about 2" long, about 5/8" wide, flat, and around its perimeter is tufts of white hairs or filaments. Gonna search on line, but there are many using this forum way smarter than I am.

I thought it was, but just in case I was wrong. Thanks folks. I will honestly sleep better now. Funny how quickly panic and paranoia sets in. The only thing I could think was, "if that is a bad bug HOW THE HELL AM I GOING TO GET IT OUT???"

Lol, wait till that sucker feeds for a couple months. I've pulled some out that were huge I take the big guys out if I can. Right now I have one sharing a burrow with my YWG and pistol shrimp that probably 6-8" long and about 1/2" wide.

As long as you don't touch them, they are beneficial to your reef....excellent at removing detritus from inside your rocks.

It is so funny how many WTF ID please these things illicit.

Ya. This little guy got me!! I have always just seen these guys poking out and grabbing food as it drifts by, especially when I throw in mysis. I have never seen one just sit there, "at rest".
