Default Hammer falling off stalk

My hammer frag seems to be falling off its stalk. I don't understand why...

Sorry for out of focus pic.
Is it doomed? any suggestions what could have happened? Not in very high flow area and no inverts other than some very small hermits and I've never seen anything picking on it.

Thanks
PatD

I am afraid it's not good news, check your water specs and cross your fingers. I have had a few and when that happened it wasn't much longer before all I had was the stalk. Watch to see how much flow is facing it as well. Don't forget to check temperature as well.
