sort of read, if you are doing more fish than corals tank, it is a good thing to have. However, if there are more corals, macro algage tanks, you would want to prevent kill off of food such as pods/ plankton life etc. I think a lot of setups you see on the other forums ( eg. nano-reef, reefsanctuary ) people don't use it anymore.
