It was not my idea to try acropora, however I received a small frag of green acropora at the last meeting so I thought I would give it a try. I didn't even want to "chance it", but a freind of mine told me to try a small frag just incase. Well I am happy to report that this smalll frag is do really well, the polyps are fully extended throughout the day and I can even see some new growth forming

Not something that I would ever suggest, as I was planning on giving this piece to my roomie for his two 10,000k MH 60 gl reef. This frag has done so well in my 27 gl reef that I'm not even thinking about that now. Most of the success in keeping this piece is probably due to the size of the frag- it's been able to acclimatize to my low lit reef, and the other reason would be even though my reef is just 90 watts of NO lighting- it is really shallow in depth-only 11 inches from the top of the sandbed to the water surface.
