If ammonia is zero, you can probably hold back on dosing MB7 and let the bacteria currently in your tank stabilize in population. Water changes bring down nitrates the fastest. 50% water change will remove 50% of the nitrates. If your nirates are still rising, even with only CUC as your livestock, you have something rotting in your tank. Possibly organics on the rocks that have to work their way out, or your bacterial cultures are dying off, possibly from adding too much MB7 which brings me back to letting the bacteria stabilize in your tank.
