That's how. Personally, I'd rather use a glass overflow and silicone 1/4" acrylic onto it. I wouldn't trust the acrylic to glass seal long-term. Make sure you have standpipes in the overflows in case they leak so they don't drain your whole tank. If you want to have a sweet overflow, use black glass. Acrylic attracts coralline algae like nobody's business and you can't scrub it off because you will scratch the acrylic. That's the reason I got the whole back of my new tank done in black glass.
