Lost both sunbursts, sucks big time but life goes on, I fished out the trigger and the flame out of the tank and I think the stress took a toll on the sunburst.

All my other fishes are happy and alive. few spots on the achilles but that's a given. Damn fish is probably born with it.

I have added more rocks to the tank and happy to say all frags are mounted, urchins are still knocking them off here and there just to keep me busy.

New toys for the tank. 1 more gyre, laguna 4380gph return pump, 2 AI hydra 52
(quality assurance demo) replaced the 3 vegas in my home made hybrid.

I really wasn't looking to replace the return pump but the speedwave return crapped out so it was a forced fed. After my beautiful plumbing job and right before I fire it up I said to myself man this is an overkill, 4300gph might just blow the pipe right off the bulk head. Well, it turned out pretty good, lots of flow but it was working flawlessly.....until several glass crunching sound and a shower of glass shards and little black balls shot out the return pipe. my wife was like wtf was that? Boom! it dawn on me that I left a thermometer in the return and totally forgot about it. First thing came to mind was mercury but after consulting with several other reefers we came to the conclusion that its only alcohol and metal beads I had a sense of relief. Lesson of the day is do not leave any loose in a high volume pump in the return chamber. Happy to report nothing was kill or injured.

Second Gyre was added only because I didn't like the look of asymmetric. I like the balance look and man does the tank have flow, so much flow that some of the frogspawn is literally blown right off the skeleton so I promptly dialed everything back. Gonna have to get rid of all the lps in the tank and then I am gonna let it rip.

I was fortunate enough to be given the chance to demo a set of hydra 52s so I replaced the 3 vegas and let me tell you I am impressed with those lights. Those lights are bright. I have them dialed down so the coral can acclimate to the new lights, I will let you guys know how the coral react.

Enough talk...here are some night glow pics with the hydra 52 ultra violet light on 100%

What a mess...lol

Forgot to mention that I plumbed the reactors into the return to eliminate the need of running extra pumps and it also freed up some outlets.
