I know a lot of my "old" reefer buddies have dropped out due to finances, changing family commitments or other reasons.

While this addiction has cost me thousands (really DON'T want to know exactly how much), it has also brought me a lot of joy and peace. It has helped teach both my daughters to love and appreciate nature. They are already helping Daddy with massive water changes (aged 2.5 and 5.5) so the tanks serve a "work ethic" purpose as well as an aesthetic purpose. It helps make my place unique compared to my non-fish friends and families' homes. Yes, lots of work, $$ and time, but that is going to be true for almost any hobby/addiction. At least this one doesn't give you cancer, cause you to grow fat, or leave you twitching in the corner from an overdose. If it does, then it's way past time to get out
