Poor guys only opened up for a day here and there, then died...

Soooo I was thinking of fragging some Starburst Polyps (
briareum sp.)
and trying to make them grow on one of my snails shell.
I saw a picture of a Blue Tuxedo Urchin (
mespilia globulus)on Canreef with Starburst Polyps Growing on it; Which started the idea.
Does anyone know if this can be done?
