Is there such a thing as a freshwater snowflake ell ? After much reading I am more confused as I understood all ells were saltwater.

Big Al's Scarbourgh had some small freshwater snowflake ells a few years ago. I bought one that looked like a regular snowflake in a freshwater tank.

I bought on of the ells and put it in a saltwater tank. After a few months of having the ell I found it on the floor dead after jumping out of small hole in the tank.

I am pretty sure it was a snowflake.

So my question is there such a thing as a freshwater snowflake or are they one in the same selling under different names ex. fresh / salt ?
