Default An experience to share

I just had a little boo boo in my tank that I thought I would share. I was fragging a few days ago and lifted up one of the rocks to frag... I didn't notice but my pencil urchin had wedged itself in between that rock and another. The result of lifting the rock was breaking one quill off of one side, and breaking a 'chunk' of the urchin along with three other quills off the other side.... I thought it was doomed. The one side had a massive gaping hole(urchins are a hollow shell and quite brittle). Feeling too bad to just toss the urchin in the garbage I took it and set it in my sump. Yesterday I had a look, and it's still alive! It has actually sealed up the big hole with what looks like a membrane and I think it's going to heal. The urchin seems to be quite the trooper. Just another thing in the salt hobby I've ran into to amaze me, and keep me hooked... lol. The marvels of nature. WOW!
