My wife and I have been to Cozumel three times. The first time we stayed at a B&B in San Miguel called
Mi Casa and dove with Aqua Safaris. We only got three dives in because the port was closed due to strong winds.
The second time we stayed at the
Coral Princess which is a few minutes south of town and dove with their in house dive shop, Pepe's,
The third time we stayed at
Miramar Condos which is a little further south from Coral Princess and dove with
Tres Hermanos. whose main business is fishing charters but they were great to dive with.
The dive sites are all north of town so it is bit of a haul to get to them from the resorts south of town. The diving in Cozumel is spectacular. If I had to pick a favorite it would be Palancar reef. Dive ops are numerous. Check out reviews on the

We didn't dine out much, we mainly cooked in or condo but Kinta's was one of our favorites.
Make sure to rent a jeep and tour around the island but take a designated driver. Otherwise take a taxi and stop at
Rasta's and
Coconuts on the east side of the island.
