Yeah knock down is tough to work with, never get it to match again. I would probably leave the part out you had the sink apart to work on it the other day to the insurance people. The thing that moves the plug up and down usually behind the tap. Hair gets wrapped up in it. Have to take apart under the sink, there's a piece that goes through the pipe but seals on either side. It's a stupid design, just add a rubber plug on a chain....
