What Bev said. I would also use an elastic to attach the coral to a piece of styrofoam and float it upside down. I used small heat packs which you can buy at shippers supply and I would probably trust them during the winter to perhaps -15 or so, given what they're actually made for, but during the summer I can't even begin to predict the temperature of a cargo hold so I don't know what to say. I would definitely go for spring or fall though. Triple bag, use lots of peanuts. I used Fedex and it went off like a charm. I would aim for 24 hours or less. The one I shipped took about 20 hours.
