We bought AC and cooled the whole house
2 x 10, 000 BTU inits
It cost a lot for the short heat-wave, but it was worth it when you have to sleep

Think about working in the heat all day, then coming home to 98-100F heat in your house ... and trying to sleep ...

I always said I would never spend the money on it, but I finally had to buy AC

Here's a warning for those of you who haven't used AC yet in a heat-wave ....

Our units are 10,000 BTUs each, and suck 900w each.
I use them to cool the whole house with the furnace fan on for distribution

With the 2 units running through the first heat-wave we had, we incurred a $250.00 bill, so you decide how often you're gonna use it/them ...
