Maxi minis would be perfectly fine for nanos/picos given that the light and the water conditions are adequate
The lights that comes on fluval spec 5 might not be enough for any coral; well maybe just good enough for mushrooms but that's it. Maybe start a DIY led for the setup
She will learn a bit of engineering too
