I always send them in
one fleet and that way the CV will be higher than his ... he could also have a race bonus that you have not factored in ... now when I use the battle calculator I am assuming a race bonus for my opponents defence at +4, Math & Physics even ( I am at Math 15 & Physics 16 ) and a 1 - 0 winning percentage for myself.
