Avoid extended warrenties.

My digital camera crapped out after three months, and again after two years. My MP3 player died after one year. My car stereo amp died after six months. My car stereo deck (MP3/CD) is dying after one and a half years. It's a rather expensive unit, and they haven't come down in price Extended warranties have saved me bundles. The only thing I don't buy them on is computers.
