Found the web portal for datalogging displaying etc. very slow.
Tried to find a wireless solution to hauling PC into fishroom when I first got
it but was unable to locate the wireless USB sender listed in manual.
As I had planned only to use it as a PAR meter I feel it serves my purposes well. If I had I wireless USB sender and a local source for slides
I would definately use it more.

So can you clearify? Par meter is accurate or not accurate, and it works with LEDs? And you can use it on and off to increase slide life? I assumed once the slides are wet, you can't let them dry out and if you keep them wet they wear out.
