With any system redundancy is a key, especially large systems.
Why not get two large skimmers instead of one huge one?
It will be way cheaper, more reliable, nothing custom built and easy to get (no waiting time for special orders).
Also when you have to take one of the skimmers out for cleaning and servicing you will still have the other one chugging along and doing its job.
And, you will not have to pay huge bills for electricity.

I got my skimmer and calcium reactor from these guys and very happy.
