Default TLF Lid Outlet Repair

As lots of you probably already know the outlets on the TLF lids seem to break quite easily. I talked to TLF about this and about getting a replacement lid and they said I would have to buy the whole reactor. Then they wouldn't return emails which is very poor customer service if you ask me!

One day I was bored so I thought I would try to fix my spare reactor with the broken outlet.

Step 1: was to measure and mark how far the bottom of outlet was inserted from the bottom of the lid body hole. I used a nail and a marker

Step 2: is to use a hammer and a screwdriver and gently knock out all of the old outlet nozzle from the hole.

Step 3: take an insert T fitting and cut off one of the ends

Step 4: take some sandpaper and sand inside of hole smooth and nozzle so it fits in hole but very tight

Step 5" Put a small amount of epoxy on nozzle then gently tap into the hole using hammer and board. Check underneath periodically with your nail to set the right depth. If you happen to put it in too far your tube on the reactor must be then cut.

Finished and as good as new!
