Yeah. At first we were going to do the right thing, by numbering the plates, and putting little pieces on them so we can have a fair assessment.
That went out the window when Pam took over the distribution of the pies. All show of orderly decorum gone!!
We all grabbed our pies and piled ice cream on the sides and off we went, wolfing them down and in pie-heaven! Should have seen the carnage on my table!! Took me 1/2 hour the next morning to clean the crumbs and sticky fillings off!
We were not very orderly when Fencer's smoked ribs came out either. Betty didn't want to share. They were pretty awesome ribs. I don't even think that the Greens had any to even try!
Betty and Craig then talked about their skills with a turkey fryer. Got us all drooling for the next cook-off.
Then the red-neck side really showed when Tim started the fire with gasoline, and the crowd just went, "Ooooooh, NICE!"
Rob and his boys spend most of the evening playing in the garage.
It was a very memorable evening. Will do it again in a heart beat.
But I think that Fencer deserves a big thank you for organizing the event.
Fun times.
