Based on the Fall pricing there is a $50 difference between the SA and slave. I am sure people who want the SA are quite pleased that the SA is not more expensive and does not come with an inflated price tag.
The price between the two is no more than the cost of a PCB, (
dependant on model due to price offest with the amount of components required) so to put the price up of the SA would be unreasonable for the client, and the slave is priced accordingly to the quality components used.

Quality of components used is important in a doser, yes there are cheaper units, however when buying hardware it is important to buy once and not have to worry in a year or 18 months you have to replace the whole thing, all of a sudden that bargain is no longer a bargain when you have to bin it.
