I had the exact same thing in my 75g with the 6100. The controller was neat it was really cool to see the surge/slack/surge/slack but there was just no position where it didn't spew up my sand like NUTS or it wasn't blowing on some coral.

I came to the conclusion my tank is too small to be a suitable candidate for a stream. My tank is only 18" or 20" tall (can't remember exactly ... either way it's too short, really, causes problems in other things too). I think the streams are very fine units for tanks that are taller (>24"). Seen them now in a 24" tall tank and a 30" tall tank and they seem to work ideally for those tanks.
