hate that everyone has to over analyze and put societal context into it. I know it begs this but the concept of suspension of disbelief is one that I wish more would take part in. Honestly you can twist nearly any plot to sppeak to whatever cause you wish, this one is just easier than most.

besides I didn't see them giving out blankets at all
come on its a movie not a documentry, and it was writen 15 years ago and had to wait 10 years till there was the means to make it.
