Oh it's not a fad at all! It's a great system for those who want it. The great thing is that there are lots of additives you can use without using the whole system. Common ones people use are Sponge Power, Coral Vitalizer, Coral Snow, and Xtra. I was skeptical too, very skeptical, but I tried out the "Nano Package" when it went on sale at J&L, and now I'm a believer for sure. Very noticable results.
