Thanks for the support Tony, I hear what you're saying about how clubs die after the initial hype is over. I struggled with that issue when I started the University of Calgary Outdoor Club a few years back when I was in school. Luckily it's still doing well, but not as strong as the 500 members we had in the first few years.
I'm aware of what needs to be done, and I also know what works and what doesn't for the club to survive long term.
Here are my ideas:
Build a small website - nothing fancy, just club info and event info (we all use CanReef for our reef info!)
Get swag made - t shirts/golf shirt/hats/stickers
Set up a schedule of events - nothing fancy - tank tours, frag swaps, group frag orders etc.
Attempt (sigh) to find sponsors or discounts
