What's useful is to specify the units used in alk. If you say your alk is 4 then one could figured it's high assuming measured in meg/l or
low if assumed measured in dKH or really really low if measured in ppm CaCO3 equivalents.

Calcium and Magnesium is usually measured in ppm so probably ok if you just say Ca of 400.
