Hey Rob,

Fortunately, I don't have really flashy or expensive taste like some watch collectors (yet ). What I really like is a watch that looks good, works good, and is good value. For that reason, I have it narrowed down to two watches.

For everyday use and work, the G-shock GW5600. I like the 1980's retro looks but it would be nice to have a durable watch that is also solar powered and synchronizes to the atomic clock in Colorado every day.

For something a little dressier and more unique, I would like the Orient 200m Dive watch (nicknamed the "Mako" by some watch geeks):

Sorry, not a lot of info on the net. Orient is one of the big three Japanese companies (with Seiko and Citizen) but are not as well known today because they have focused on continuing to make automatic, mechanical movements instead of going digital. Their accuracy and durability has been compared to some of the big name divers like Rolex and Omega. Again I like it because it's a pretty watch but not flashy.
