I do my testing
(and I hate to admit this) only
occasionally and use old school test kits, test tubes & chemicals, etc. Over time one gets to know their system and what it uses and requires so I generally test no more than once every 2-3 months. I will test if I think there is a problem but then again I also have some corals that act like a "canary in a coalmine" so if they look distressed I know that a particular element is low or high and then correct it.
