This thread is officially dead.
I have the following items for sale. I am lowering the price on the tanks. If you are interested make me an offer. I think the tanks are very good deal since they are brand new.
I prefer to sell locally to avoid the hassle of shipping. Shipping is extra.
150-gallon display aquarium (48” L x 24”D x 30”T) ($400- brand new) with two corner overflows. (
SALE PENDING)
http://www.reefcube.outhouseinthemea...yTank.JPG.htmlo The tank is made from ½” glass all around and the bottom is heavy duty ¾” and drilled for 1 ½” overflows.
o I have custom-made some very nice Stockman style stand pipes (with adjustable venting) that come with the aquarium. The stand pipes are made from 2”-Schedule 40 PVC pipes.

o The back and sides have been carefully painted black but this is easily removed if desired.
o Euro-bracing along length.
o Paid over $900. Still new.
112-gallon aquarium (72”L x 20”D x 18”T) with four overflows ($300 - brand new).
http://www.reefcube.outhouseinthemea...heads.JPG.htmlo Two overflows are front and back in the centre and two overflows and front and back on one side. The idea was that even though this was supposed to be a sump, it built as a display tank. Overflows were set up to allow versatile placement of overflows if the tank was used a U-style room divided (overflows on one end), traditionally against a back wall. Having four overflows also allows the returns to be fed from under the tank instead of behind. Overflows all accommodate 2” bulkheads for added flow. The placement of the overflows also allows the tank to be internally divided if so desired.
o The tank is made from ½” glass all around.
o Euro-bracing along length.
o I made a custom stand for the aquarium out of clear Douglas fir 4” x 4” timber with a 1” plywood top. This could come with the tank at N/C for whoever takes the tanks if they are interested.
o Paid over $700. Still new.
Plumbing parts (
GONE)
When I put this tank together I plumbed it with 2" schedule 40 PVC. I have just taken everything down and I have a slew of 2" parts. These fittings have been solvented together, BUT I always left enough pipe between fittings so the pipe could be sawed and re-cemented in case I made an error in assembly. There are numerous ball valves, quick connect fittings, etc. The quick connects were $25 a pop. All one needs to re-use the pieces is $1.50 connector. Spent several hundreds of dollars on these pieces, but I am not looking to make any money off of them. I just don't want them to be buried in a landfill.
For those of you who read the post before the edit, I am taking all the
new parts back to the hardware store. The free pieces applies only to the pieces I have disassembed. I'll post a picture of the parts asap.
