It actually worked out great....that was the first time and I didnt even use any epoxy...I used pieces of 4 inch and 3 inch PVC to support the rock and 'lock' it into place using BIG tie-straps. I put holes throughout the PVC so sand could enter and not leave dead spots. ALL my rock was supported this way...none on the sand. It worked great for my brittle stars and their sand moving abilities!
