Yeah it is! Dont be intimidated because this stuff is for 'reef' use. It's just basic electronics. Just use heat shrink to wrap
up areas where the wiring might touch (when they shouldnt be).
Plus everyone has a junk drawer full of miscellanous AC adapters. I'm actually using 2 of them to power the 120mm fans that I use to cool my canopy. Just check the Voltage rating, and get resistors for the LEDs accordingly.
