Ive been in the ocean numerous times. But my point is...
If a non-native species of parasite (or anything really for that matter) gets into the local waters and starts to flourish and outcompetes the native species for food, or even feasting on the native species. Pretty soon you are left with none of the original species. There is a great potential for disaster when you think like that. Oh and btw parasites do not dilute in water..
